Idles; an audiovisual live coding performance in the works...
Idles have discovered that when performing live electronic music, their CPU's are
actually idling a significant amount of time while they themselves are sweating it out.
To compensate for this uneven situation, they have decided to use this idle-time and
create some visualization of the live coding process.
During their performance, idles use a human-machine feedback chain. First the humans
type code into their (at first idling machines), the
machines start to crunch the numbers which will result in an audible signal and
indirectly, a visual signal as well. This visual signal is combined with the visual
image of the idles and their audience. These visual an audible signals combine to
inspire the idles to write more code. This cycle will be repeated almost indefinitely
until both man and machine are either in perfect harmony or both have lost control of
each other completely.
